Caldwell Night Rodeo

It has been a few days since I’ve put up something new to see.  So, here it is.  Bessie and I went to the Caldwell Night Rodeo last night.  I haven’t laughed that much in a while!  Thanks Bessie!  We went to see how the cowboys would fair against the stock this year and I have to say, the night goes to the bulls!  Not a single 8 second ride in the bunch! As much fun as it is to go and watch, I could never do that! I think I will keep my day job as a photog! The big decision is always…rowdy or civie?  I am always on the rowdy side so I can yell “Ride em’ cowboy!”  The rodeo is going until Saturday…get out of the house and go check it out!

Bad Hair Day!

OK, so we all have had it…a bad hair day!  And no, I won’t name names and tell who this is…but I did have fun taking this photo.  I played around with it a little bit, thought it looked more interesting in B&W.  All I can say is….been there, done that! :)

Have you hugged your Blazer horse today?

Here is a sampling of my first horse photo shoot.  I have had the pleasure of going out to shoot the Red Top Blazers owned by Lou and Donna Kelleher.  This is an exciting assignment as my horse is also a Blazer!  This is an amazing breed of horses that has started here in Idaho about 50 years ago.  If you would like to learn more information about the Blazers or to contact someone who breeds Blazers to get one of your own, please go to the association’s website at www.blazerhorse.com or check out my links and just click on the American Blazer Horse Association and it will take you right to their website.  I love my Blazer and know you will too!  If you do already own a Blazer, have you gone out and hugged them today?  They will love you for it!  :)

Auntie “L”’s Hummingbirds

Well, tomorrow I fly out to go back home.  So, I spent the day socializing with my Gramms and her sister Laura.  Had a really nice visit together, especially since I hadn’t seen her in so long.  While I was there, we watched two adult hummingbirds and a baby hummingbird flit in and out of her yard.  Laura has two beautiful butterfly bushes, one purple and one bright yellow.  The hummingbirds really seem to love them and the nice red nectar she has out for them to eat.  I was lucky enough to get pretty close to the little male bird.  They move so fast!  They make you work really hard to get a good shot of them!

Gorgeous Sunset!

What a breathtaking sunset we had tonight. I just had to get out and get some shots of my favorite spot, the two trees. I found a few wheat stalks that hadn’t been cut in the surrounding field and found them to be shimmering in the golden light of the sunset. Here are a few shots that still don’t do it just. It was just gorgeous. Enjoy!

Pugnatious Poses!

Well, here are the boys out playing in the yard.  HooDoo loves posing for the camera!  But the sweet and innocent look just means he is about to pounce.  And how cute are the two brothers snuggling with one another!

No Wilting Violets!

There aren’t any wilting violets here! Despite being 103 hot degrees outside, the flowers are still as colorful and perky as ever. I went out for a second chance at some of the flowers today. The flowers from yesterday were taken right after being watered and so there weren’t as many to choose from. Today I could have been out there for a couple hours if it wasn’t so hot! Enjoy!

Mom’s Blooming Yard!

Here I am back in Lewiston. This time it is to babysit the pugs, my next shooting assignment. That should be interesting, they never stop moving!
While spending some outdoor time with the dogs, here are a few shots of mom’s blooming yard from yesterday. Wish mine looked so good!
